Teacher Profile: Mrs. Jackie Beise,
K-12 Physical and Health Education
Education Background: I graduated from Rice Lake High School and then attended UW-River Falls, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance. I also am certified in Special Education where I received my degree from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. I am entering my 11th year at Birchwood and love teaching with such a GREAT staff and awesome students!
About the Teacher: My family consists of my husband, Mark, who is also a teacher and our 2 fur babies, Comet 10 and Uecker 6! In my free time I enjoy doing anything outside, from gardening, working on our hunting land, hunting, cross country skiing, and of course taking in as many Milwaukee Brewer games as I can. My husband and I are Brewer, Packer and Badger fan fanatics, hence why we named our black lab Uecker after Brewer's announcer, Bob Uecker!
Expectations: My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with as many innovative learning experiences as possible. I want all of my students to know that they "matter." Implementing Character Education (respect, responsibility, trust, caring, fairness, and citizenship) is a huge component of my teaching. It's important to teach our students to be good people among the other academic areas that play into their education.
